The article deals with the specific links between the financial situation of the
agricultural sector of the world, its sustainable development and the introduction of innovations in agriculture. Attention is paid to the peculiarities of the organization of the agricultural sector insurance system in individual countries. The regional peculiarities of innovations introduction into the agrarian sector are considered. The analysis of the spread of the geography of famine and the main factors of its occurrence are made.
